NRC Appoints Curtis Bilow As Chairman

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) has named construction industry leader Curtis Bilow as the new chairman of its Board of Directors. The NRC installed Bilow as chairman at the conclusion of its annual conference in Hollywood, Florida, on January 10, 2026.

 Bilow was first elected to the NRC Board of Directors in 2018 and has served on its executive committee since 2022. He will serve a two-year term as Board Chairman of the association comprised of railway industry contractors and suppliers. Bilow joined Ames Construction in 2005 as a project engineer in the southwest and currently serves as Executive Vice President in the corporate office. He is responsible for providing corporate oversight and strategic leadership to deliver business solutions to Ames partners. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University in Construction Management.

 “I want to thank outgoing Chairman Joe Daloisio for his leadership and significant impact during his term. He has left the NRC well-positioned for what comes next,” said Bilow. “As chairman of NRC, I see this moment as both a responsibility and anopportunity. Our industry has the talent, experience, and ingenuity to meetwhat’s ahead, but only if we are willing to adapt, collaborate, and holdourselves to higher standards than ever before. Change is already underway, and more is coming. The NRC intends to be at the forefront of that change to help our members to not just respond, but to also lead.”
