The NRC's grassroots program connects U.S. representatives and senators directly with NRC members at their facilities and construction project sites. These visits give the Members of Congress the opportunity to meet employees, gain firsthand knowledge of the rail industry, and see how rail contractors and suppliers are positively affecting the local and national economy.
The NRC's Annual Railroad Equipment Auction will be held in two parts in 2022. The Virtual "Smalls" auction begins April 22 and extends through April 27. The large-time auction will be held April 28. Buyers and sellers can participate in person or virtually through Blackmon's online platform. This popular event brings together buyers and sellers of used railway equipment. It also contributes to a worthwhile cause to fund NRC safety training resources.
Railroad Day on Capitol Hill is actually two days on March 9 and 10, 2022. Virtual Railroad Days will be hosted using Zoom meetings. Take advantage of the opportunity to share your pro-rail messages virtually with Members of Congress and congressional and senate representatives. This effort will convey the vital role of rail in strengthening the U.S. economy, improving the environment, and connecting markets with each other.
