Railway Industry Veteran Joe Daloisio Is Named NRC Chairman

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) has named railway construction industry leader Joseph (“Joe”) Daloisio III as the new chairman of its Board of Directors. The NRC installed Daloisio as chairman at the conclusion of its annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 6, 2024.

Daloisio, who was first elected to the NRC Board of Directors in 2013, will serve a two-year term as Board Chairman of the association comprised of railway industry contractors and suppliers. A third-generation railroader, Daloisio brings more than 30 years of railway industry experience to this leadership post. He currently serves as track division manager for Paterson-N.J.-based Railroad Construction Co., Inc. (RCC), a railroad contracting company started by Daloisio’s grandfather Joseph Daloisio Sr. in 1926.

“I am grateful to my predecessor, Steve Bolte, for his work as NRC Chairman to enhance the landscape for our members,” said Daloisio. “I am excited and ready to continue on that track, growing the NRC, and working for our member companies. We are in a strong position and I am optimistic about what lies ahead.”

The NRC is a U.S. trade association that advances the mutual interests of railway contractors and suppliers who construct, maintain and supply freight railroads and rail-transit and passenger lines. Founded in 1978, the NRC connects members with other railway industry professionals and government officials and policymakers. The NRC collaborates with its members, government, and industry leaders to create a positive business climate and to make railway construction and maintenance safer and more efficient.

What our members say…

“The networking opportunities at the NRC annual conference are phenomenal! My company ended up with a $25 million contract that was cultivated from relationships forged at my very first NRC conference. And those networking opportunities continue today.”
